Kidnapped woman manages to escape and arrives at the hospital with a padlock around her neck Brasil

Police in Miranda de Ebro, Spain, have arrested a man suspected of kidnapping and holding captive a middleaged woman.

The case was discovered after the victim was rushed to hospital with a chain and padlock around his neck.

According to the woman, she got a ride from a man who offered to take her from the hospital to the city center. During the journey, the man gained the victim’s trust and convinced her to accompany him to his house to pick up some belongings.

When the man arrived at the apartment, he began attacking the woman. She lost consciousness and when she woke up, her hands were tied to a chain around her neck.

The victim took advantage of the attacker’s moment of distraction to escape through a window and run to his family’s home, where he asked for help. She was taken to hospital with multiple injuries to her face and with the chain and padlock still on her neck.

After the victim reported the matter, police identified the man. He was arrested and taken to the police station where he was questioned. He was subsequently released on bail with an obligation to appear in court if necessary.

The man is being investigated for unlawful imprisonment, but the charges could change as the investigation progresses.

According to the newspaper 20 Minutes, this is not the first crime of this kind that the suspect has committed. In 2005, he was arrested for kidnapping a nineyearold girl in the same city.
