And an adorable throwback clip from Kieran Culkin sent fans into a frenzy as they realized his Father of the Bride co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short witnessed his award win.
The 41-year-old actor starred in the comedy when he was just 11 years old as George Banks' youngest son Matty.

Steve and Martin attended the Emmys after their Hulu comedy Only Murders In The Building received three nominations.
Kieran's Emmys win was one of four major wins for the acclaimed HBO drama, which concluded its fourth season last year.
In his speech, Culkin said: “I have to thank my manager Emily Gerson Saines, who I've worked with for about 29 years – sorry Emily, you probably didn't want me to say the number but I did.”
“I just have to thank you for keeping my name in the conversation when no one else was talking about me. So in my opinion this is your name.”
“And of course my beautiful wife Jazz. Thank you for sharing your life with me and giving me two amazing children. Kinsey Sioux and Wild Wolf, I love you so much.
He joked: “And Jazz – I want more.” You said maybe if I win. I love you so much.'
Culkin beat out his Succession co-stars Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong in this category, along with Jeff Bridges – The Old Man, Bob Odenkirk – Better Call Saul and Pedro Pascal – The Last of Us.

It was a standout night for Succession, which also saw the drama win leading actress awards for Sarah Snook, 36, before the series overall took top honors for best drama series in its final season.
Earlier in the evening, Matthew Macfadyen secured Succession's first Emmy win at the event when he was named Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Culkin first rose to fame as a child star, thanks to his older brother and Home Alone legend Macaulay Culkin, now 43, who played Kevin McCallister's bedwetting cousin Fuller in the 1990 film.
He was set to reprise the role in the 1992 sequel and play Matthew Banks in the Steve Martin and Diane Keaton comedies Father of the Bride (1991) and Father of the Bride Part II (1995) – but he seemed destined to stand forever in Macaulay's shadow.
In 1999, he again played a supporting role in the legendary teen comedy She's All That as Laney Boggs' little brother Simon.
His adult breakthrough came in 2002 as the lead in the film “Igby Goes Down,” which earned him his first Golden Globe nomination.
He also appeared in the second season of the television adaptation of Fargo.
However, it was his role as the youngest Roy son in Succession that earned him critical and worldwide praise.

Kieran and Macaulay grew up in poverty along with their five siblings, sharing a room in a tiny apartment.
His parents struggled to make ends meet – his father Kit, a down-and-out Broadway actor, worked as a taxi driver and sacristan for a Catholic church, while his mother quit her job to care for their large brood before eventually got a share. Temporary job as a telephone operator.
Kieran later told Vanity Fair of her childhood home: “It was hardly suitable for a couple.” [let alone a family-of-nine].
