Jackie, who has been coughing on the air and sounding unwell for weeks, explained that she has been in poor health since contracting Covid-19 a few months ago and needs adequate rest to recover from the virus.
She told listeners she wouldn’t be on the air for the next “couple of weeks,” and didn’t give a return date.
“I’ve not been doing very well since I’ve had Covid… I’m struggling with this fatigue,” she said.

“I’ve been to the doctor several times and he said because I’m exerting myself every day, I just slept after the show and I’m not getting any better.”
“I feel like it’s gotten worse. I can hear it,” replied her co-host Kyle Sandilands, who noted that Jackie couldn’t even laugh without throwing a coughing fit.
“I just need to take some time off,” she added. “I’m closing the show today. Like right now.’
