Stéphane Massé, this man convicted of the premeditated murder of his partner, could have gotten away with a reduced sentence for involuntary manslaughter due to cocaine poisoning.

During the program “Le verdict” on the program “Dossiers en cour”, retired judge Nicole Gibeault took stock of this heinous murder and the trial.
“We ask ourselves a lot of questions. “How we can plead manslaughter and how we can make such a verdict,” she asks.
The defense mentioned the defendant’s cocaine intoxication and that he behaved like a “robot” before committing the irreparable.
Linda Lalonde, 48, was murdered by her partner with 119 stab wounds in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in November 2019.
Shortly before killing his partner, the defendant asked her to sit at the table with her back to him, before asking her to close her eyes as he had a “surprise” for her.
