Photoshop fails.
After Kim Kardashian became an Instagram official with Pete Davidson on Friday, fans couldn’t help but notice the strange discrepancy between the photos she shared on Twitter and Instagram.
Social media users noted that the carpet in the photos was clearly photoshopped – the one on Twitter had a geometric pattern, while the flooring in Kardashian’s Instagram post looked solid gray.
The photos that the Skims founder posted on Twitter have since been deleted.
“I honestly don’t know why Kim edited the carpet. Does anyone else know or want to speculate?” wrote one puzzled fan on Instagram, along with screenshots of the two versions.
“So someone couldn’t have guessed which hotel she was in,” one person countered, suggesting the couple wanted to keep their whereabouts a secret.
“Because of her editing addiction, she now edits the floors 😭😭,” another follower chimed in, while a third wrote, “This is just scary lol. WHY”.
Others commented on the exact details used in the edit, with one user writing, “They even got a proper reflection on the glass front of the FIRE EXTINGUISHER. And the shadows are perfect. It’s masterful.”
On Friday, she officially announced her relationship with Davidson on Instagram.Instagram/@igfamousbydana

As Page Six previously reported, Davidson deactivated his Instagram account following West’s repeated attacks on him during social media rants and rants.
However, a source told us that the King of Staten Island star deleting his Instagram has nothing to do with West apparently bullying him off the platform.
“Pete deleted his IG because right after his first post, he started getting a flood of messages, both positive and negative, that reminded him why he doesn’t want social media to start with,” an insider told us.
“[Pete] is in the middle of several major film projects and wants to continue to stay very focused on his work and the positive things going on in his life.”
