Last night it was said that King Charles III. will invite the Prince and Princess of Wales to a historic royal summit to decide the future of the monarchy.
The King plans to tell Prince William and Kate about his goal of establishing clear roles for each of them, as well as for himself and his wife Queen Camilla.
He hopes to use the couple’s “star qualities” to unite the Commonwealth and ensure the monarchy’s existence for future generations, sources told The Mirror.
Charles will arrive on Monday at the late Queen’s popular home, Balmoral, where the meeting will take place.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will accompany him there but FA boss William will not travel to Australia to watch the day before as the Lionesses take on Spain in England’s first World Cup final since 1966.

A source close to the Royals said: “His Majesty is very clear.” The Commonwealth must be at the heart of its rule.
“He considers it his highest duty to fulfill his late mother’s sincere wish that one of his central tasks must be to ensure not only the survival but also the robustness (of the organization).”
He is said to attach great importance to the younger couple’s role in ensuring his survival and ensuring they “solidify their own future and that of the monarchy as a whole”, with the king said to capitalize on Kate’s “undoubted star qualities”. .
The top royals will also discuss plans for at least the next year, including overseas travel, major events and key destinations.
It’s likely to be a busy year for the monarch, who will travel to Kenya with his wife in the fall.
According to the newspaper, the royals will travel to Canada and Australia next year.
The summit comes at a difficult time, however, as it was revealed that while Spanish royals are flying to watch Sunday’s World Cup final in Australia, no British royals plan to attend.
There are also no plans for the Prime Minister’s departure, which some see as a snub to women’s football – particularly given that the tournament will be hosted in Commonwealth country Australia.

The royal family is believed to be trying to protect the Commonwealth after a royal trip by William and Kate to the Caribbean last year drew widespread criticism, including over a photo op in which the couple snapped photos with young people, who were trapped behind a metal fence.
Sources have now described the trip as a “massive wake-up call” but denied it was a “complete disaster”.
The spring 2022 tour has been plagued by anti-monarchy protesters as more and more nations in the Commonwealth grapple with how its bloody colonial history can be accepted by its populace.
The couple released a statement after the tour, which said, “Travel abroad is an opportunity for reflection.” You’re learning so much. What’s on the minds of Prime Ministers? The hopes and ambitions of school children. The everyday challenges faced by families and communities.
“I know this tour has brought even more focus to questions about the past and the future.”
“In Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, the people are making the decisions about that future.” But we really enjoyed spending time with communities in all three countries and learning more about the issues that matter most to them.
“Catherine and I are committed to service. For us, that doesn’t mean telling people what to do.
“It’s about serving and supporting them in the ways that they see fit, using the platform that we’re fortunate to have.”
“So tours like this reinforce our desire to serve the people of the Commonwealth and listen to communities around the world.”
“I am not considering who the Commonwealth will choose to be the head of its family in the future.”
“What matters to us is the potential of the Commonwealth family to create a better future for the people that make it up and our commitment to serve and support as best we can.”
