Kings in Quebec: the blatant hypocrisy of Canadians

While some still think the Canadian is in favor of the NHL’s return to Quebec, the hypocrisy of our glorious people regarding the Kings’ arrival is a good example of what’s really going on behind the scenes. The CH petticoat is exceeded.

It boils down to what happened: You’re still attached to your ex-blonde, but she doesn’t care about you at all. However, whenever she wants to see you again, you’re all ears. They invite him to their home and roll out the red carpet for him. She comes, has a bit of fun and doesn’t even stay to sleep.

She doesn’t call you back the next day. Every year she greets you to keep the flame alive and keep you captive. But she hasn’t called you back in five years.

And then you finally get out of there. You have a chance to forget him because you met someone else.

Your ex-blonde doesn’t think she’s funny. Even if she didn’t care about you at all, she doesn’t want to see you with anyone else. As revenge, she tells everyone what an idiot you are for getting out of the relationship.

The guy in the story understood that it was Quebec City.

We’re cute in Quebec

Quebec is being manipulated. Basically, we’re just nice and helpful every now and then. But it’s nothing serious.

It’s been five years since the Canadian wanted anything to do with coming to Quebec during his training camp. Why is CH suddenly interested in this for next year?

Could it be because it wasn’t up to him that the Kings came into his market?

And I’m sorry for the Canadian, but Quebec won’t say no to everyone in the hope of getting another call from the CH one day. The agreement was reached with the Kings in early September. The CH called weeks later, in October, it was too late. It’s not about denial.

We had to think about it beforehand and not call if we felt our ex had a new flame at the Kings. To make Quebec look even worse, the CH also dared to say publicly on Tuesday that it wanted to play at the Videotron Center in the fall.

And let’s remember when the Canadian came to Quebec. In 2018 there were fewer than 12,000 people. It wasn’t that exciting to see Matthew Peca, Rinat Valiev, Jacob de la Rose and Charlie Lindgren at work. At least the Capitals had drafted Alex Ovechkin.

In 2017 it was terrible. The Canadian had an interesting line-up, but the Maple Leafs also played in Toronto that same evening. In Quebec, Eric Fehr was the best player. The Canadian had managed to lose such a bad match.

And when the CH shows up in Quebec, it’s not a festival of rapprochement with the fans. No public event. He plays and leaves.

The same applies to the rest of the year. The CH says how important the market is in Quebec, but no visits, no special events, as if Highway 20 is too steep.

Insane subsidy

The Kings will arrive there for a week, open the doors to fans and plan to organize events to finance minor hockey.

But other than that, the Kings don’t do any charity. They wanted compensation for this visit, even though the owner has an estimated fortune of $11.5 billion.

It is indeed crazy that public money is indirectly helping this owner, it is disgusting. But it was the only solution, otherwise it was a no.

None of this is the fault of the people of Quebec, who have been deceived by the NHL for years. It seems that some are taking advantage of this to add another level to their criticism, because it is precisely in Quebec.

According to a compilation by the Group of Independent Regional Artistic Festivals, last year (2021-2022) the CH Group received $35 million in government financial assistance through nonprofit organizations that are actually part of the Evenko or Spectra groups. Note that Evenko is also 49% owned by Live Nation, which is funded with hundreds of millions of dollars from Saudi Arabia. In short, Groupe CH also benefits from government aid, even though the team is now worth almost two billion dollars.

The Canadian’s hypocrisy in all of this clearly shows what the team really thinks of Quebec. The CH takes us for granted and it would be good if we continued to be so, without another club with the Fleurdelysé sweater in our hands.
