Kirstie Allsopp opened up about her feelings about aging this week as she credited being “a little fuller” to maintain a youthful appearance.

The 51-year-old TV presenter has revealed that she has been conscious of not shedding too much weight from her face in order to maintain a younger appearance since she was in her fifties.

But the mother-of-two added that she’s “fitter now than ever” while discussing her relationship with aging.

Kirstie turned 50 in 2021 but has now revealed that she struggles with the concept of aging and slowing down.

In a new interview with Good Housekeeping Magazine, the Location, Location, Location host explained that she’s “not thrilled” about turning 50.

She told the publication, “I don’t think I have a particularly healthy relationship with aging.

“When you’re younger, your metabolism is better, your skin is better, and your bones are better. You’re getting older and suddenly you’re much more powerful!

Despite feeling like she was slowing down, the beauty added, “But I have to say I’m probably fitter now than ever.”

But Kirstie is beaming for a photoshoot alongside the interview, looking sensational while beaming at the camera.

Her complexion glows as a bright palette of makeup is added, while the star’s raven locks fall freely in an elegant style.

And she attributes her youthful looks to being “plump,” admitting she doesn’t like it when her face looks too slim.

Kirstie continued: “It helps to be a little bit plumper because you have a little more flesh on your face. I’m always torn between wanting to lose weight and wanting to keep it off my face!’

But the presenter recently admitted she’s ready for a facelift, telling Saga Magazine: “So far I’ve been really lucky: I’ve made it to 50 and my face hasn’t collapsed. But I guess I only have about five years or so.

“I know it’s only a matter of time before I have to think about evasive maneuvers. I won’t walk softly into the dark night; I’ll rage against the dying of the light and get a facelift.’

The TV personality also opened up about ageism in the entertainment industry, admitting that while she hasn’t personally faced it, she has witnessed it.

Sharing that it’s “not easy,” Kirstie admitted it’s hard not to “fade out” as an older woman in business, noting it’s easier for men.

It comes after Kirstie, who shares sons Bay Atlas, 16, and Oscar Hercules, 14, with her husband Ben Anderson, as well as two stepchildren from Ben’s previous relationship, recently revealed her regrets about parenthood.

The star took to Twitter to share that forcing her kids to do their homework is “one of her biggest regrets.”

In response to a tweet about not letting young children do their homework, she wrote, “One of the biggest regrets of my life is not doing this for my children.

‘The tears, the lost time together, homework cause many families a real, daily misfortune without a happy ending.’

She also tweeted: “Question, real question, no reason for abuse please.

“How much difference would it make to a teacher’s working day if the government said that ‘from now on homework is reading only, no more written homework that needs to be marked’?”
