The 8th season of Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan kicked off with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as the first guests. The couple, who had previously appeared on the show, appeared there together for the first time. During the show, Karan Johar also shared the couple’s official wedding video five years after the ceremonies (this is the first time this video has been shared publicly). The footage includes insights into the star couple’s dream wedding and celebrations. The clip begins with Ranveer Singh expressing his love for Deepika at a party. Deepika’s father and badminton star Prakash Padukone then talks about welcoming Ranveer into their (as he says) “boring” family. The clip also offers glimpses of the mehendi ceremony where Ranveer is seen dancing while Deepika smiles wholeheartedly. Just before the Anand Karaj ceremony, Ranveer tells Deepika how much he loves her. “No peeking,” she says. The video also contains glimpses of the engagement. Dreamy is the right word.
After screening the video, the host of the show, Karan Johar, became very emotional. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had two ceremonies in 2018. The couple had an intimate wedding on Lake Como in Italy, attended only by close friends and family. They later hosted grand receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Their first film together was Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela (2013), directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The couple also starred in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. The couple also shared screen space in Kabir Khan’s sports drama 1983. They also starred in the Cirkus song ‘Current Laga Re’.
