North Korea’s representative to the United Nations, Kim Song, warned this Tuesday (26) of the danger of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula, particularly due to “reckless actions” by the United States.

The “ongoing hysteria of the United States and its allies regarding nuclear confrontation.” […] brings the Korean peninsula militarily to the brink of nuclear war,” Pyongyang’s ambassador Kim Song warned in a speech to the UN General Assembly.

Kim criticized Washington’s policies in Northeast Asia and denounced a “dangerous current situation.” [que] It is the fault of the United States, which wants to perfect its hegemonic ambitions by any means possible and in doing so overestimates its power.”

For the representative of Kim Jongun’s communist regime, responsibility also lies with the dominant forces of the Republic of Korea [Coreia do Sul]who intend to bring the scourge of nuclear war against them [nossa] Nation”.

Seoul is “obsessed with voluntary submission to the US and fratricidal confrontation,” the North Korean diplomat concluded.

The first military parade in 10 years “is an unsubtle and visually provocative gesture by the South Korean government to send a message to (North Korean leader) Kim Jong Un that Seoul will not back down and will not pursue any form of reconciliation,” Soo Kim, by LMI Consulting and former CIA analyst, told AFP
