Kourtney Kardashian wears her sister Kim’s famous Met Gala dress for Halloween: “Freaky Friday”

Kourtney Kardashian didn’t have to look far to find Halloween costume inspiration. She just embraced her younger sister Kim’s look from the 2013 Met Gala.

The 44-year-old reality star, who is expecting her first child with husband Travis Barker, posted an Instagram photo carousel of herself in the floral Givenchy dress that Kim, 43, wore to the Anna Wintour-hosted event. Kourtney, who also sported a slicked-back ponytail like her sister, paired the dress with platform sandals.

“Freaky Friday,” Kourtney captioned the post. Kim posted the look to her own Instagram Stories along with a series of clapping emojis.

Considered “fashion’s biggest night,” the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is known for its red carpet full of celebrities. At the 2013 event, whose theme was “PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” Kim accompanied her then-boyfriend Kanye West. At the time, Kim was pregnant with the couple’s eldest daughter, North West. West wore a traditional tuxedo for the event.

Kourtney’s costume choice is interesting considering the family’s Hulu series The Kardashian revealed recent tensions between Kourtney and Kim. The drama began back in Season 3 of the series when Kourtney accused Kim of using her May 2022 wedding in Italy – which was designed by Dolce & Gabbana – as an opportunity to make money by establishing a partnership with the fashion house. After the wedding, Kim was asked to take over the creative direction of Dolce & Gabbana’s show at Milan Fashion Week.

“While we were at our wedding, I think Kim had these conversations with Dolce that I didn’t know about,” Kourtney told her husband Barker on the show. At the time she said: “It feels terrible that my sister used my wedding as a business opportunity. She chose the money over me.”

While she was initially shocked that Kourtney was acting out about her decision to work with Dolce & Gabbana, Kim accused Kourtney of imitating her 2014 wedding to West in a July episode.

“I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy? Who performed at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? “Andrea Bocelli,” Kim said to the camera. “You stole my damn wedding land and my wedding artist. “Andrea Bocelli is my favorite singer of all time, but I’m copying your dolce vita lifestyle?”

In the season four premiere, Kourtney and Kim had a tense phone call during which Kourtney called her younger sister a “witch” and stated that she “hates” her. Kim responded by telling Kourtney that her three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick come to Kim “with issues that they have about how you’re doing.”

Despite their bankruptcy, the sisters seem to have found peace. On the Oct. 12 episode of The Kardashians, Kim shared that Kourtney sent her a text message with a picture of her father, Robert Kardashian, when he was in college. Kim called it “a step in the right direction to get over it and put all the drama behind her.” I want her here.”

Just last week, Kourtney hinted at how far the duo has come. In her Instagram post for Kim’s birthday, Kourtney spoke directly to her sister. “I love you forever and ever. May God bless this year with love, happiness and great joy,” she said.

She also explained that the stuff that creates the airwaves is nothing compared to what they have been through in the past.

“People think the fights they saw on TV are bad when they could only see the hair-raising, nerve-wracking fights from early high school,” Kourtney captioned a photo of the two. “The Joys of Sisterhood.”
