Kris Jenner commented on day three of Blac Chyna’s $108 million defamation lawsuit against the Kardashian-Jenner family, telling the courtroom that she had discussed allegations that Blac Chyna was “numerously” threatening her daughter Kylie Jenner with Tyga and Kylie have.
Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, called Jenner to the witness stand for the final hour of Wednesday’s session.
Chyna, whose real name is Angela White, is suing the Kardashian-Jenners for $108 million in damages. She claims they unfairly treated her to E! Network execs five years ago, after she and Rob Kardashian split, jeopardized the show’s “Rob & Chyna” season two. The family has denied the allegations in the lawsuit.
During Jenner’s testimony, Ciani asked about her December 4, 2019 testimony related to the case. Ciani read a passage in which Jenner claimed Chyna “threatened my daughter’s life.”
Jenner told the court that she heard about the allegation from Kylie and Tyga, who were dating at the time. Chyna and Tyga dated from 2011 to 2014 and were engaged shortly before splitting. Kylie dated Tyga between 2014 and 2017, and Rob Kardashian and Chyna dated and engaged between 2016 and 2017.
Jenner claimed she heard about the threats before her son Rob started dating Chyna.
“Kylie was implicated because she was dating Tyga and that’s where the aggression came from,” Jenner told the court. When Jenner was asked to elaborate on the details of the allegations against Chyna, Jenner told the court multiple times, “You would have to ask Kylie” or “You would have to ask Tyga.”
“I will stand by what she says,” Jenner said of what Kylie told her, including alleging Chyna cut Tyga’s arm with a knife. Jenner said she never called the Chyna Police Department when she heard those stories and “we just kept it internal.”
Jenner later told the court that she “didn’t have much of a reaction” when she found out Rob and Chyna were dating after learning about the domestic violence allegations.
“If you thought Blac Chyna would try to kill your daughter, why didn’t you care if Rob was dating her?” asked Ciani Jenner.
Jenner pointed out that Ciani said “attempted” instead of “threatened.”
“That’s a big difference,” Jenner told the court.
“I’m sorry, I worded it wrong when I said ‘tried,'” Ciani said.
Standing in a bright blue suit and Travis Scott Jordan One sneakers, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch told the courtroom that “there’s been a lot of drama in my family and I’m used to it.” She said she was happy for Chyna and Rob before things got out of hand on December 15, 2016.
“I didn’t know where it was going, it was a difficult relationship from the start,” Jenner said. “I just wanted my son to be happy, I wanted them to be happy and I wanted them to win. I’ve tried to be a mentor to Chyna by helping with business, baby nursery and stuff like that.”
Jenner later told the court that as the executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she was “not involved in internal discussions” with the network and was unaware that the second season of the spin-off Rob & Chyna was ending despite Got Caught With a Green Light E! Network statement about picking up season 2 of the series.
“I wasn’t aware of that,” Jenner told the court; her statement will be picked up on Friday.
