Kristin Cavallari39s ex Jeff Dye SHOCKS her for publicly shaming

Kristin Cavallari's ex Jeff Dye SHOCKS her for publicly “shaming” him on her podcast after he was arrested for drunk driving in front of her at 9 a.m. and reveals he's now “36 days sober.”

Comedian Jeff Dye announced he had quit drinking after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in front of his former girlfriend Kristin Cavallari at 9:56 a.m. in October.

On Thursday's episode of Marco DelVecchio's podcast “Smoochie Town,” the 40-year-old actor told listeners that he is a recovering alcoholic and is “now 36 days sober.”

“I Drunk Every Night,” the Who the BLEEP Is That? Host approved. “But just for fun… I was a very high-functioning alcoholic for about 20 years.”

Looking back on how he would spend most of his evenings, Dye said that most evenings he would first watch sports at a bar, then go for a drink at a comedy club before heading to another bar.

The Seattle native, who lives in Los Angeles, revealed that this has been his routine “every night since 2005.”

According to the Burbank Police Department, the stand-up comedian was arrested on October 8 after he crashed his white Tesla into a tree and allegedly “flee the scene” on foot.

According to Fox News Digital, he is “charged with driving under the influence and fleeing the scene of an accident.”

Dye was arrested by police after receiving “witness statements and statements from the comedian himself.”

While recalling his arrest, Dye revealed that he was on his way to meet his ex, whom he split from after five months of dating in 2021, for coffee after hanging out with about 15 friends at his house “partyed and drank whiskey” for a night.

“I woke up late because I missed the alarm. “I jumped in the cold shower, put a hat on and just got in my Tesla,” he told listeners. “Teslas are very fast and that's why I just lost control of my car and caused an accident.” This is 9 hours after I went to sleep. “It wasn’t like I was leaving a bar, I wasn’t knocked down.”

Dye continued: “After I crashed, I thought damn – there's probably still some alcohol in my system.” He adds that he didn't feel drunk at the time of the accident.

Instinctively, the performer said he left the scene.

Ultimately, he explained that it was humiliating to be arrested in the cafe “early in the morning.”

Dye also criticized Cavallari for telling the story on her podcast “for the clicks.”

The star also expressed how surprised he was that she “didn't care” about telling him “everyone about it and publicly shaming him about the humiliating experience.”

“When we were together, I had a billion experiences with you that I didn't just share,” he ranted, before explaining that her decision to tell the world hurt his feelings.

At the time, he admitted he hoped they could rekindle their relationship but would “never” think about it again.

Two weeks after his run-in with the law, Cavallari spoke about it at length on her podcast.

During the episode, she claimed he was arrested by a police officer.

“I say, 'Can you tell me what's going on?' said the mother of three children. “One of the officers says, 'There was a report of a hit-and-run on the road and he matches the man's description.'
