(ANSA) — ROME, NOVEMBER 26 — The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported that today a train left Kherson for Khmelnytskyi in the west of the country, with the city’s first 100 residents taking advantage of the evacuation from the Kievan government planned. “These include 26 children, 7 bedridden patients and 6 people with reduced mobility,” said a post on the ministry’s Facebook profile.
Upon arrival in Khmelnytskyi, all displaced persons will receive “aid” and “financial support”, they will be “housed for free and receive humanitarian aid,” the ministry specified. “We remind that currently it is possible to evacuate from the Kherson region by bus to Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih.”
In the past few hours, the Ukrainian authorities had announced the evacuation of patients from hospitals in Kherson because of the systematic Russian bombardment of the city. (HAND).
