Attacks by Ukrainian forces on enemy positions in the Kherson region (in the south of the country) claimed 500 lives among Russian soldiers, according to a report by the Ukrainian General Staff published on Tuesday (March 1, 2023).

“The casualties among the invading forces amount to about 500 dead and wounded,” read the balance sheet released today via the Facebook account of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The figures refer to the offensive that began on the night of Saturday 31st in one of the Russian-held areas in Kherson and continued on Sunday and Monday in various cities of this area.

According to this report, Ukrainian artillery is “effectively” attacking Russian positions and also neutralizing those fired by the Russians against their drones.

According to this source, 27 Iran-made gifts have been identified and deactivated in the past 24 hours.

A total of 32 Russian attacks were registered in the region, mostly hitting civilian targets, including a public building, and apartment blocks.

Russia yesterday recognized the deaths of 63 Russian soldiers as a result of a Ukrainian missile hitting a barracks in the Donetsk town of Makiivka, annexed by Moscow last September.
