Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson recently signed a record $200 million deal to remain with KIIS FM for the next ten years.
But Sandilands, 52, has revealed the radio duo's former employer, 2DayFM, made a bold move to get them to return to the station.
“The old store offered us so much money.” [to come back]the shock jock said during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Thursday morning.
“We don’t want to go there, but they will give us a lot of money,” he revealed the two said to each other during negotiations.
A return to 2DayFM would likely have meant the pair taking over the breakfast slot currently occupied by the Hughesy, Ed and Erin show.

Sandilands was first confronted by the rumors by paparazzi in July last year when he returned to Sydney from his honeymoon in Europe.
Sandilands hinted that he would be open to a possible move if an attractive offer was made to him, asking Jackie: “What's my motto?”
“Where there’s a cash register, there’s a way,” she replied.
Kyle confirmed she was right and joked that that was Jackie's motto too.

However, the radio queen quickly shot down Kyle, saying she had a different outlook on life.
“My life is not just based on money, there are other things too,” she said.
The pair were formerly employed by Southern Cross Austereo and had a successful show on 2Day FM.

According to the Australian Financial Review, the duo's old broadcaster, SCA, was “quite aggressive” in pursuing the pair before they re-signed with ARN.
“It's like sports rights for radio.” “It's very likely to be the biggest talent media deal ever,” a network insider said at the time.
Ciaran Davis, CEO and managing director of ARN Media, told Chron Australia: “We don't view contract negotiations as an exercise in time.”
Last November, the Sydney-based radio duo signed a record-breaking $200 million, 10-year deal that will keep them on the air until 2034
“Since Kyle and Jackie O joined us, we have worked very hard to make sure they feel part of a larger network and that everyone contributes to it.”
“I don't think it's a surprise to us that they had the highest audience they've ever had.” “Having worked in radio in many countries, I think they're the best in what they do are the best in the world.”
The Kyle and Jackie O Show originally aired on 2Day FM from January 2005 to December 2013, moving to current station KIIS FM in January 2014.
