Kylie Minogue ‘SPLITS from boyfriend of 5 years Paul Solomons… after struggling to work remotely between Australia and UK’
Kylie Minogue has reportedly split from her ex-boyfriend Paul Solomons after five years together.
The hitmaker is said to have split from the former UK GQ creative director after they struggled to make a long-distance relationship work.
Born in Australia, Kylie has returned to her home in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs after decades of living in the UK while her Welsh boyfriend remains in the British capital.
And apparently a source struggled with the 11-hour time difference, telling The Sun: “Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work, but ultimately the time difference was a killer.”
They continued: “Paul couldn’t exactly go to Melbourne for a long weekend when things were tense.
However, Kylie wanted to keep the breakup a secret at first as she really doesn’t want the narration to be ‘poor, miserably in love – Kylie’s heartbreak again’.
Finally, noting that the superstar won’t be romping about the heartbreak, the source added that Kylie will put 100% into her career.
While the duo reportedly remain friends following their split.
Kylie and Paul met in February 2018 after being introduced by mutual friends and went public with their romance months later.
The pair are even said to have gotten engaged in 2021, with the family apparently letting the news slide.
Paul’s stepmother Gloria said at the time: “She’s very kind, I’m thrilled that they are engaged. It’s very exciting. ‘
‘But I’m sorry I can’t tell you more because I was told not to. I respect my son and I respect Kylie too much to say more.
Kylie’s team then dismissed the rumors, confirming that the couple weren’t engaged and things hadn’t changed.

Kylie lived and worked in the UK for 30 years before confirming in 2021 that she would be returning Down Under.
She said at the time: “I’ve spent a lot of time with my family in Australia this year and it felt really good.”
The couple had to spend nine months apart during the Covid-19 pandemic but managed to keep the flame burning despite their great distance and got back together afterwards.
Paul is a former graphic design graduate from Nottingham Trent University and now a media mogul who was award-winning creative director at UK’s GQ and GQ Style Magazine from 2001-2021.
