It’s opening day at La Ronde and like many companies, the challenge is to find enough workers to fill all the positions.

The amusement park is not immune to the labor shortage issue as more than 500 part-time or full-time workers are needed to ensure the proper operation of the site.

“Schedules are back to normal,” said Sophie Émond, president of Six Flags and La Ronde. “We are currently open on the weekends until the end of June, after which the entire season begins. Seven days a week until Labor Day.

Since the pandemic, the Six Flags stock market has fallen from $45 in 2021 to less than $25 in 2023.

Although the company’s economic situation is a cause for concern, Ms. Émond assures that all the services offered in the park will remain accessible.

“Every market is different,” she explains. “All parks are healthy. It’s certain that the pandemic has impacted the entertainment space, but Montreal and the other parks are doing just fine.

Despite the stock market decline, the gourmet section of the Montreal amusement park has been renovated in recent months to give customers more choice.
