La Taverne du Gamer opens its second branch in Coaticook – Le Progrès de Coaticook

BUSINESS. Simon Proulx, owner of La Taverne du Gamer in Stanstead, and his brother Vincent are proud to announce the official opening of their second branch at 61 rue Child in Coaticook.

La Taverne du Gamer is a place of choice for gamers of all kinds, enthusiasts and collectors. The Stanstead store notably includes a shop (board games, video games, figurines, various toys, manga, etc.) and an entertainment area (access to multiple consoles, board and card game rooms, virtual reality, retro cinema, etc.). It is also possible to enjoy delicious sodas and energy drinks.

A festive opening

The new branch will welcome its first customers on March 1st, but the official opening is planned for the following Saturday. A Star Trek Cosplay group will be on hand that day to showcase themed board games. It will also be possible to take a photo with multiple official WWE belts. “My brother and I are wrestling maniacs,” reveals the owner. We are happy to share our passion with the people of the region. Good to know: From March 1st to 5th, customers of the Taverne du Gamer can spin the Roue du Gamer and receive a 5 to 50% discount on their bill!

A more intimate atmosphere

The Coaticook branch is not an exact replica of the Stanstead branch. “Because our premises are smaller, we decided to focus more on the ‘tavern’ side of our concept,” explains Mr. Proulx. The house therefore offers an atmosphere conducive to smaller gatherings. Equipped with a bar area where you can enjoy drinks and non-alcoholic beers, it is more suited to board and card players. Customers will continue to enjoy some consoles, including an Xbox Series X.
