Lacey Chabert resigned a week after defending Hallmark Channel following Candace Cameron Bure’s statements about the network.

The Mean Girls alum, 40, was a sight to behold in a romantic green lace dress with a plunging neckline.

With a big smile on her face, Lacey looked absolutely beautiful as she caused a stir outside the New York studio on Thursday.

Lacey looked ready for her closeup when she arrived at the show.

She rocked metallic gold sandal heels and a sleek, blown-out hairstyle with a lustrous sheen.

A coat of peachy blush adorned her cheekbones, while bronze eyeshadow and long, full lashes help up the glam factor.

The outing comes just over a week after Lacey spoke about joining the Hallmark Channel after Candace, who once starred in many films for the channel, spoke about leaving the network.

Lacey has become a mainstay of the network in recent years, and she defended it during an interview with Vulture published last month.

“Every change I’ve felt has embraced our creative ideas,” she said. “And it’s my responsibility to the audience that continues to watch my films that I give the best I have to offer. That’s always my mission.

“I will never give up what Hallmark means to me, that it’s all about the heart. I don’t think that will change any time soon.”

Despite standing by Hallmark, the Party of Five actress chose not to comment on Bure’s decision to end her professional relationship with the network.

“You know what, I wish everyone the best,” she said. “I really can’t comment further, other than that I care about everyone involved.”

She added: “I’m at Hallmark and I work for them. I’m so sorry, but I have to leave it at that.’

In November, Bure, 46, discussed why she left the network, telling the Wall Street Journal: “It’s basically a completely different network than when I started my career because of the leadership change.”

She sparked major backlash for comments she made in the same interview, in which she said she didn’t expect her new network to feature same-sex couples in starring roles.

“The Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at its core,” she told the outlet.

Great American Family is a cable television network that airs family-oriented programs similar to Hallmark.

Celebrities like JoJo Siwa and Maren Morris were quick to call Bure’s comments homophobic.

One Tree Hill star, Hilarie Burton, even called Bure a “fanatic,” saying, “I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy. Why, surely. Earn your money honey. They’re riding this wave of prejudice to the bank,” one tweet said.

Bure then released another statement to defend himself.

“All who know me know without question that I have great love and affection for all people,” she told Fox News Digital. “It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I was intentionally trying to offend and hurt anyone.”
