Lady Gaga shares the Hold Me Tight Oscars rehearsal in full glamor before the makeup-free performance

After walking the red carpet in a glamorous dress and a full face of makeup, many fans were stunned to see Lady Gaga strip off her outfit and arrive at the surprise performance of her song “Hold My Hand.” 95th Academy Awards last Sunday showed no make-up .

Now, just four days away from the emotional presentation of the Oscar-nominated tune from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack, the singer has shared a video of her Oscars rehearsal, still in all her glory, on her TikTok page.

Seated in front of a piano in a small room overlooking the streets of Los Angeles with a window in the background, Gaga delivered an emotional version of the song, although there was no audience except for the person shooting the clip.

And as she did as she strolled down the red carpet, the New York native was dressed in a sleek black see-through gown, her blonde locks pulled back from her face in a French braid.

“Hold my hand, everything will be fine – I heard from the sky that the clouds were gray,” she sang at the beginning of the almost minute-and-a-half clip.

Gaga (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta), who never moved from her position in front of the piano, continued with the track’s next line.

‘Pull me closer, wrap me in your aching arms – I see you’re hurt, why did it take you so long – To tell me you need me? I see that you’re bleeding – You don’t have to show me again – But if you decide, I’ll ride with you in this life – I won’t let go until the end.

She wrapped the clip with the lines, “So cry tonight – But don’t let go of my hand – You can cry every last tear – I won’t leave until I understand – Promise me just hold my hand.” ‘

Taking to TikTok, the Oscar-winning singer described the video in the caption as “the rehearsal no one saw.”

She added, “Love you all, thank you for supporting a song that means so much to me.”

The Oscars rehearsal in her Versace dress and full makeup was a huge contrast to what she looked like when she took the stage for her performance during the ceremony.

Going for a stripped down look, Gaga shed all her makeup with the help of her makeup artist and replaced her dress with a simple ensemble of black jeans with rips at the knees and a matching tee and sneakers.

The Shallow star decided to continue pulling her blonde tresses away from her face with a French braid.

Despite her stunning vocal performance, fans seemed to focus mostly on the lack of makeup and how fresh and clean her face looked.
