Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker breaks silence after his alleged shooter who stole the singer’s dogs was mistakenly released from prison by LASD

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – The man accused of shooting Lady Gaga’s dog walker remains at large after he was mistakenly released from prison on Wednesday.

Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer spoke out on Friday after a search was carried out for 19-year-old James Jackson.

“While I am deeply concerned about the events leading up to his release, I am confident that law enforcement will correct the mistake,” Fischer said in a statement. “I urge Mr. Jackson to turn himself in to the authorities to proceed with the investigation of the crime committed against me, whatever the outcome of the courts.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department blames a clerical error for the error.

Jackson was acquitted of the trial on Monday, according to the LA District Attorney’s Office. He was indicted on a grand jury charge Tuesday, meaning he was assigned a new case number.

During this transition, he was falsely released from prison.

The prosecutor’s office released a statement on its Twitter page on Friday afternoon, stating:

“On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, our office charged Mr. James Howard Jackson with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a robbery and assault with a semi-automatic firearm. Mr. Jackson was falsely released from custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.”

“Our office is working with the Sheriff’s Department to ensure Mr. Jackson is returned to custody.”

The LA County Sheriff’s Department also released a statement Friday, stating:

“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) is investigating the accidental release of defendant James Howard Jackson. Mr. Jackson was in custody for attempted murder in connection with the shooting of Lady Gaga’s dog walker and the theft of the singer’s two French bulldogs, which took place on February 25, 2021. Defendant Jackson attended a court hearing at the Clara Shortridge Criminal Justice Center on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 and was released from custody on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 due to a clerical error.

“The investigation continues and the LASD Major Crimes Bureau is actively working to bring Mr. Jackson back into custody.”

The Los Angeles Police Department works with LASD to retake Jackson.

“Our detectives were unaware of this,” Chief Michel Moore said. “We found out about his escape, this Snafu if you will, as did others in our community and we are working with the Sheriff’s Department to put this right by bringing him back and taking him back into custody with that.” he can face these charges. “

Jackson is one of several people charged in Hollywood over the past year. Lady Gaga’s dogs were kidnapped but returned days later.
