- Dresses and skirts should be of a modest length, defined as falling just above the knee or longer.
- Dresses and tops should have straps of one inch or more. Strapless, off the shoulder, halterneck and spaghetti straps are not allowed. Dresses and tops with see-through straps and sleeves are also not permitted.
- Jackets and pashminas may be worn. Tops and dresses underneath should still conform to the Royal Enclosure Dress Code. The waist must be covered.
- Trouser suits are welcome. They should be ankle length and match in material and color.
- Overalls are welcome. They should be below the knee, with the regulations being the same as for dresses.
- hats should be worn; However, as an alternative to a hat, a headgear with a solid base 4 inches (10 cm) or larger in diameter is acceptable. Fascinators are not allowed.
GIRL
- Girls (10-17 years) should dress according to the women’s dress code. However, you can wear a hat or fascinator as an alternative to a hat, with no size limit.
MEN’S

It is required to wear a black, gray or navy blue robe that must include:
- A waistcoat and tie (no ties or bow ties)
- A black or gray cylinder
- Black shoes worn with socks
A gentleman may remove his top hat in a restaurant, private box, private club, or the terrace, balcony, or garden of any establishment.
Hats may also be removed in any enclosed outside seating area within the Royal Enclosure Gardens.
The fitting of top hats (e.g. with colored ribbons or ribbons) is not permitted in the Royal Ward
New waistcoats and ties are not allowed. Subtle designs and those with a patriotic character (such as a national flag) are acceptable.
GUYS
- Boys (10-17 years) should either dress according to the men’s dress code; or alternatively wear a dark lounge suit with a shirt and tie.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Costumes, novelty, and branded or promotional clothing are not permitted on the premises.
QUEEN ANNE ENCLOSURE DRESS CODE

Ladies within the Queen Anne Enclosures are required to dress in proper dress for a formal occasion and are asked to observe the following:
- A hat, headgear or fascinator should always be worn.
- Strapless and sheer dresses and tops are not permitted. Please note that our definition of strapless includes off the shoulder, bardot and one shoulder. Dresses and tops with see-through straps and sleeves are also not permitted. The waist must be covered.
- Pant suits must be full length and overalls should fall below the knee. Both must adhere to the above neckline rules. Shorts are not allowed.
GIRL
- Girls under the age of 17 should be dressed for a formal occasion. Chic summer dresses are recommended.
- Hats, head coverings and fascinators may be worn but are not compulsory.
MEN’S

Gentlemen’s dress code Gentlemen must wear a long suit with shirt and tie and are requested to observe the following: Jackets and trousers should match in color and pattern.
- A tie should always be worn. Bow ties and ties are not permitted.
- Socks must be worn and should cover the ankle. Jeans, chinos and sneakers are not permitted.
GUYS
- Boys aged 10 to 17 should wear a suit or jacket with a shirt and tie. Younger boys up to the age of nine should be smartly dressed but are not required to wear a jacket or tie.

- A hat, headgear or fascinator should always be worn.

Please note that the Village Enclosure is a grassy area and ladies should consider their hat size and shoes accordingly. Smaller hats or fascinators and wedges or block heels are recommended in place of large headpieces or stilettos.

- Hats, headgear, and fascinators can be work but are not mandatory.
MEN’S

WINDSOR HOUSING
