Laëtitia Casta plays the main role in the film The Agreementwhich will be released on October 11th.

Laetitia Casta has been in the spotlight from a young age and knows what she’s talking about, even outside the world of show business.

“The predator comes very early in life, it is not tied to one environment. It is present in every child’s life from the beginning,” she told Audrey Crespo-Mara in the program Sept à Huit, broadcast on TF1.

“I still remember leaving school at the age of 12. I knew how to recognize danger because my upbringing taught me that. I was told to be careful about what was right and what wasn’t.”

Warnings that were useful to him in his profession.

“When the opportunity arose for someone to go beyond professionalism, I could tell them with a smile, ‘Actually, no.’ And always go through the front door,” explains the actress.

And she understood very early on that you don’t want to “pursue a career at any cost.”

“I tried to stay true to myself, and that loyalty meant that sometimes I could say no. I experienced the MeToo movement very early on without knowing it,” reveals Laetitia Casta.

The Sous les Jupes des Filles actress then spoke about her meeting with Harvey Weinstein, who was convicted of sexual assault and rape.

“We talk about movies, work and then when he asks me questions about my private life, I tell him that I have a man in my life and show him the photos of my children. And it was resolved,” she says.

Is it always that easy?

“It’s so much in my genes that I’ve always been able to bounce back in complicated situations. But it’s not for everyone,” replied Laetitia Casta, adding that what undoubtedly helped her was never having been “afraid of losing anything.”
