The actress’ outing comes after she worked as a director on a high-profile and critically acclaimed miniseries that was released earlier this year.

The program showcased the talents of an ensemble cast that included Lily James, Sebastian Stan and Seth Rogen.

Bell spoke about working on the program during an interview with Variety, in which she noted that she was grateful to have been involved in the production.
“It was such a fun ride. It felt like this incredible respite from the monotony of my pandemic. This was the job that gave me creative sustenance at a time when we were all in lockdown,” she said.
The performer explained that she wanted to be impartial in her version of Anderson.

“That was paramount for us — not just how we represent that person, but also how we openly comment on the social and cultural harm done,” she said.
Bell then expressed that she intends to use the program to comment on a number of issues.
“Part of it that was so interesting was also the broader conversation it sparked about technology. Yes, it’s about exploitation, but also how we unleash the beast forever, and then it turns out it’s for gross and macabre and perverted exploitation.’
