Speculation has been heating up in recent weeks as Danielle posted selfies of herself snuggling up with the 42-year-old former NBA star.
However, insiders in Lamar’s camp told TMZ they were just friends and clarified that he had nothing against their trans identity or the trans community at large.

Rumors about the nature of their relationship began swirling after Danielle posted an Instagram selfie with Lamar last month.
“One of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met,” the Aussie actress wrote, adding a few emojis for good measure, including a pair of hearts.
Daniielle posted two more selfies with Lamar this week – and in one of them she turned to him and pursed his lips as he pouted at the camera.
“It’s always a blessing from us,” she wrote with praying hands and heart emojis. ‘Lamar also greets everyone #lamarodom #daniiellealexis this morning.’

Now, insiders have told TMZ that Lamar and Danielle first met in June when she approached him for an autograph in Los Angeles.
Lamar, who was in town to attend the BET Awards, exchanged phone numbers with Dannielle and kept in touch.
The former Laker eventually moved back to Los Angeles from Georgia and went out for lunch, albeit platonically, with Daniielle.
Apparently their conversations usually revolve around show business, understandably given Dannielle’s acting ambitions.
