“I’m thinking of my friend Lance Reddick. Not only was he an important part of the Bosch show, but he was also a wonderful person, friend and collaborator. He took a character who was paper thin in the books and turned it into Irvin Irving.

Sharing a memory of his experience with Reddick from his younger days, Ben Stiller wrote, “Lance Reddick was a beautiful and compelling actor. And a beautiful person. He worked with my mother, Anne Meara, in her play Afterplay, playing Raziel, the waiter-slash angel of death. He was exquisite in that and in everything he did. Nothing is lost.’

Patten Oswalt tried to ease the burden caused by the actor’s sudden loss by writing “Unacceptable.” Death, I want your badge and scythe on my desk by 9:00 tomorrow.’

“So sad to hear about Lance Reddick. What a wonderful person. He was a frequent guest and supporter of TGA, even recording promo VO’s for us for a year. An amazing actor who gave so much to the games is gone far too soon.

Reddick – who played Cedric Daniels in the hit TV series – is believed to have died of natural causes, law enforcement officials told TMZ.

The accomplished actor was in the middle of a promotional tour for John Wick: Chapter 4, starring as Concierge Charon.

The film is scheduled for release on March 24th.

On Thursday, Reddick uploaded a shot of himself with his three dogs at home to an Instagram post about National Puppy Day.

He wrote, “On screen and off, it’s no surprise I love pampering my dogs.”
