Driver Lance Stroll is fortunate to have received a simple written warning from the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for his general behavior during qualifying for the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix on October 6.
As the specialist website motorsport.com reported on Friday, the color bearer of the Aston Martin team received no sanction after an investigation carried out by the FIA in recent days. However, he expressed regret for his actions at the end of his exit in the first quarter. He attracted attention for throwing his shuttlecock and pushing his personal trainer Henry Howe into the garage during the mandatory weigh-in.

“We can confirm that the head of FIA rules enforcement has received an apology from Lance Stroll […], a spokesperson for the organization told the same website. He acknowledged this apology and issued a written warning reminding Lance of his responsibilities as a competitor bound by the FIA Code of Ethics and other FIA ethics and conduct guidelines set out in the Sporting Regulations.”
Stroll is having a difficult year and is in 10th place in the drivers’ standings with 47 points. his teammate Fernando Alonso is fourth with 183 points on his side. The next event on the calendar is the United States Grand Prix, scheduled for October 22nd in Austin, Texas.
