Defamation lawsuit against Johnny Depp belongs to amber go on. The actor is waiting for the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia to determine whether he was defamed by a 2018 post by Heard in The Washington Post in which he claimed to have been a victim of domestic and sexual violence.

Police officer Melissa Saenz, who entered the home after the altercation, described her experience on May 21, 2016. Saenz bluntly stated that he did not identify Heard as a victim of domestic violence.

In the recorded video, Saenz admitted that neither she nor her partner took notes or photos of Depp-Heard’s home. That’s what he said too Heard was “red-eyed,” “crying,” red-faced, and not making eye contact when they arrived.

It’s worth noting that in Depp’s failed 2020 defamation lawsuit against British newspaper The Sun, Sáenz’s testimony was effectively sidelined due to a lack of notes and photos and conjecture.

Both Saenz and his partner, officer Tyler Hadden, made statements in Depp and Heard’s 2016 divorce proceedings. In that statement, just two months after the incident, Saenz said he “interviewed Ms. Heard and” examined her face closely and found no spots, swelling or lesions on her face. Six years ago, Saenz said Heard told her she was not injured and would not file a complaint against Depp.

Also released on Tuesday was the testimony of a non-board certified forensic psychologist, Dr. Shannon Curry, who told the court that she believed Heard had borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder. Curry’s diagnosis was based on a 12-hour session with the actress late last year.
