Lapid, Ben Gvir in Monte Tempio a high risk provocation ANSA news agency

(ANSA) – TEL AVIV, 02 JAN – “It is a deliberate provocation that will endanger and cost lives”. This was stated by the head of the Israeli opposition – and former prime minister – Yair Lapid during the announced visit of the Minister for National Security and representative of the radical right, Itamar Ben Gvir, in the coming days on the esplanade of the Temple Mount mosques for the Jews in Jerusalem. Lapid – speaking at a meeting of his party – warned that “Ben Gvir must not go to the Temple Mount”. Lapid then called Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu “weak” and unable to “bridle the far-right minister.” (HAND).
