The search continues and finds the 4-year-old girl who fell into the Mistassibi River in front of her mother on Friday afternoon in Dolbeau-Mistassini in Lac-Saint-Jean.
“The search did not stop all night, but this morning two hiking teams from the Sûreté du Québec are searching the banks on one side and the other of the river,” explains the spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec. Quebec (SQ) Hughes Beaulieu.
A diving team also arrived on site this morning to assist in the search.
Due to numerous obstacles, a crane was required to lower their boat into the water.
The Sûreté du Québec helicopter has been on site since this morning to fly over the body of water.
