Several anonymous Arizona sources have been quoted as criticizing quarterback Kyler Murray this offseason. Now someone is putting his name on some of the criticisms of Murray: Larry Fitzgerald Sr., the father of Murray’s former teammate from the Cardinals, future successor to the Hall of Fame Larry Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald Sr., a longtime sports writer who often offers opinions on sports news, responded on Twitter to a tweet criticizing Murray with some criticism.
“He is spoiled“, Writes Fitzgerald Sr.,” brings his attack in Oklahoma to the NFL team to make up for the great talent. He has never been humble, he continues to work. “
Fitzgerald Sr. offers only his own opinion and does not speak on behalf of his son, although it will not be surprising if he bases his opinion on things his son has said. Fitzgerald Sr. may have heard some of the same things that led ESPN’s Chris Mortenson to report Sunday to the Super Bowl that there are people in Arizona who see Murray as “self-centered, immature, and pointing fingers.”
The cardinals have publicly insisted that they believe in Murray and are committed to him as their quarterback franchise. For his part, Murray did what a fictional cardinal once did and said through his agent that he would believe that the team was committed to him when they showed him the money.
