Larsa Pippen said she was right to reveal her co-star Guerdy Abraira’s cancer diagnosis to her “Real Housewives of Miami” castmates, despite promising to keep it quiet.
The 49-year-old reality star took to Instagram on Tuesday to comment on a preview of the upcoming RHOM episode, in which Larsa opens up about Guerdy’s breast cancer. The clip’s fan caption said there was “no justification” for Larsa’s actions.
“I called and texted Guerdy after she called me a fake in the press. She never responded,” Larsa wrote. “We argued back and forth about what wasn’t shown, then she told me she was diagnosed with breast.” [cancer]. I was shocked and wanted to mobilize the girls to support them.”
The fan who shared the video – which shows Larsa telling Guerdy’s news to her castmates Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Alexia Nepola and Kiki Barth – said it was “upset” of Larsa not to let Guerdy share the news to tell their friends about them.
In her Instagram comment, Larsa replied: “I was always just a good friend to her.” [Guerdy].’

During the RHOM season 6 episode teaser, Larsa met with Guerdy for lunch in hopes of starting over after Geurdy called her a “fake.” However, the chat soon turned to revealing the cancer diagnosis.
“I haven’t told anyone except you, my family of course, and now you’re the fourth person in the group to know,” Guerdy said, admitting that she already told co-stars Adriana De Moura, Nicole Martin and Julia had told Lemigova.
After Guerdy asked Larsa to “keep it confidential,” Larsa seemed to agree.
But six hours later, Larsa spilled the tea to RHOM castmates Lisa Hochstein, Marysol Patton, Alexia Nepola and Kiki Barth, according to the clip.
“I met with Guerdy and wanted to understand what I ever did to her to make her go public and say I was wrong, and before I know it she says, ‘I have breast cancer,'” Larsa explained.
“It’s not crazy, she’s fine,” Larsa continued. “It’s Phase 1 – it’s still early – but she said that and I literally knew: I don’t know what to say.”
Guerdy showed her disapproval of her co-star’s behavior by sharing an Instagram Story from a fan who criticized Larsa for the way she “handled Guerdy and told her about her situation.”
The former model has been battling the disease since announcing her treatment in May, but revealed during BravoCon 2023 that she is cancer-free.
