Las Vegas Grand Prix: Employee dies

A construction worker died Saturday morning while working on the site of the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix New York Post.

The man suffered a “severe laceration to his neck” while working at the Bellagio Fountains site on the Las Vegas Strip around 11:30 a.m., Las Vegas police said.

The worker was initially taken to the hospital. He then succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

According to the New York Post, the worker was likely working on setting up the stands in the VIP area.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place on November 19th. The route will be just over six kilometers long in the city center. Almost 300,000 spectators are expected.
