Justin Timberlake made a VIP appearance at the grand opening of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, but accidentally revealed in a post-show Instagram post that he was staying at a competitor's house.
Despite his appearance at the Fontainebleau, Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel preferred to stay at the Wynn, further fueling the budding rivalry between these two Las Vegas hotels.
That decision was highlighted by a photo shared by Timberlake on social media showing him and his wife returning to their hotel room at the Wynn, where the carpet didn't match the glamor of the Fontainebleau.
Wynn took the photo in a post on his social media and added the caption: “Where everyone ends up #OnlyatWynn.”
According to the American media TMZ, the publication has now been removed from the networks.
The relationship between these two luxury resorts is not without tension, as evidenced by a previous episode in which the Wynn considered legal action against the Fontainebleau for employee embezzlement. Although the threat was never followed by a lawsuit, competitive undertones remained behind the scenes.
The singer pocketed almost $6 million for his performance in front of an audience of stars including singer Cher and Kim Kardashian. This was one of his first shows in the last four years.
