Unbelievable, but true: even soap operas end sometimes. And ironically, it’s goodbyes that leave a hole in the hearts of fans. This year it was already the end of May when we said goodbye to the saga “The Secret”. Now fans of the Spanish series are getting ready to get out their tissues again. Saturday November 12th he will also leave his post for good in the early afternoon of Canale 5 “One Life”the great fresco of love, betrayal, glory, misery and whatever else crosses your mind, painted between 1899 and 1920 in Acacias, a lively middle-class neighborhood a great city that can only be Madrid.

Here the stories of countless characters are intertwined with those of Spain’s history, with the building at number 38 on the main street of the “barrio” (neighborhood in Spanish) or Calle Acacias being the heart of the story. And Acacias 38 is the original title of the series that started in Spain in April 2015 and arrived in Italy just a few months later. With us, on the other hand, the 1,483 episodes (here it was 1,484) of the story unfolded longer: a year and six months more. The Spanish grand finale was already broadcast in May 2021, to the delight of the most curious viewers, for whom knowing as soon as possible “how it will end” is more important than experiencing the surprises of the last hour.

And there are some twists and turns that await the more than two million believers of “Una vita.” For those who can no longer resist curiosity, below is a paragraph in which we very briefly anticipate the conclusion of the two events that have most marked the last few months of the soap. On the other hand, for those who want to enjoy the whole show to the fullest and for those who might want to “enter the room” at the last minute, here’s what you need to know.

First, don’t get off the couch during the grand finale “Fiesta.” in which the famous singer Bellita Del Campo (played by Maria Gracia, also a singer during her lifetime) will reappear to once again enchant the people of Acacias with her wonderful voice. In fact, the story will surprisingly continue in the credits. The two most important events now. The first takes us back to the beginning of the series, because she plays the lawyer Felipe Álvarez-Hermoso, played by Marc Parejo and on stage since the first season of “Una vita”. Felipe is a real “good guy” in soap format, that is, a man destined to suffer for love. After the tragic death of his wife (gone insane) and the humble waitress with whom he, a “nobleman” from the neighborhood, was in love, Felipe finds himself in a shotgun marriage with the perfidious Genoveva (we’ll talk about it again… ), the murderer of the maid. A war will break out between husband and wife that will land Genoveva in prison and Felipe in yet another series of misadventures that will almost drive him insane. He will find him thanks to the new waitress Dori (Leonor Martin), with whom the lawyer falls in love, although she has not told him that she is actually a psychiatric student, who used it as a topic for her thesis. Will Felipe Dori be able to forgive this lie?

At the heart of the second story is the fate of Genoveva (Clara Garrido), a more than perfect example of a super villain who one day finds a villain worse than her.. In fact, Genoveva even finds three opponents: the last ignoble husband Aurelio (Carlos de Austria); Gabriela (Lydia Pavón), the ambiguous daughter she left in diapers; and Cayetana, the dark lady of “Una vita” season two, who we won’t see again, but who will leave her perfidious mark. The destinies of these terrifying characters will be fulfilled in a duel worthy of a western movie: who will win the best of the worst? We won’t know until the last episode!

Attention spoilers! This is how “One Life” ends.

Felipe (actor Marc Parejo) and Dori (Leonor Martin) get married. The cruel Aurelio (Carlos de Austria) is not dead as we thought: he returns and kills his evil wife Genoveva (Clara Garrido) before being killed by the butler Marcelo himself. We then discover that Gabriela, Genoveva’s abandoned daughter, was always in league with the old “evil” Cayetana, who isn’t dead either.
