Last minute of the elections live Belarra confirms that

What has happened in the last few hours?

44 days after the federal election on July 23, this Friday at 2:00 p.m. is the highlight of the day:

– Podemos bases give full powers to party leadership on deal with Sumar with 93% support. Registered Podemos confirmed this Friday, with 92.92% approval, that the party leadership has full authority to negotiate with Sumar and decide whether or not to reach an agreement with Vice President Yolanda Díaz’s platform. 49,089 out of a total of 52,829 voters supported the executive branch, compared to 6.75% (3,568 votes) against and 0.33% blank votes (172 votes). In the next few hours, Ione Belarra’s party leadership is expected to deliver the final decision. The deadline for registering coalitions is midnight.

– Compromís finalizes agreement with Sumar to attend 23rd J. together. The leaders of the three parties that make up the Compromís coalition have given the green light to the preliminary agreement with Sumar and both formations will stand together in the next elections on 23-J in the Valencian Community under the name Compromís-Sumar: Sumem pro guanyar with an image chart deciding the sum. In addition, the deputies elected in the next elections will belong to the Sumar faction, but will have autonomy and their own vote to “defend the interests of Valencians”.

– Police raid Melilla Town Hall and Assembly over alleged purchase of votes by mail. The National Police carried out several searches this Friday at Melilla City Hall and the Autonomous City Council to look for documents related to the alleged conspiracy to buy votes by mail in the May 28 regional and local elections. The investigation, in which various ministries were involved, is subject to strict secrecy.

– Sumar will have Yolanda Díaz’s face on the ballot. According to party sources, Sumar’s ballot paper for the next general election will bear Yolanda Díaz’s face. The Vice President’s face could be next to the coalition logo. The strategy was already used in space by Pablo Iglesias in 2014, when he led Podemos’ candidacy for the European Parliament, and also by Adelante Andalucía leader Teresa Rodríguez in the 2022 regional elections.

– PSOE, CC and PP sign a government agreement in Tazacorte (La Palma). This week, the Canary Coalition and the Popular Party struck a governing pact to oust the PSOE, the party with the most votes in the 28-M autonomous elections, from the presidency of the Canary Islands. Nationalist leader Fernando Clavijo assured that a pact with socialist leader Ángel Víctor Torres was impossible for programmatic reasons. However, local politics is an odd traveling companion. PSOE, CC and PP have signed an agreement to govern in the small coastal town of Tazacorte on La Palma (population 4,600, southwest of the island), leaving the list with the most votes, that of Nueva Canarias, in opposition. Manuel Ico González (PSOE) will be mayor for the first two years of his term, while David Ruiz (CC) will hold the post for the following two years.
