Last season of “Raspberry Time”: Elisabeth in search of allies

Sandrine Bisson draws inspiration from her character’s kindness and strength raspberry time.

“Elisabeth significantly changes the way I think and approach people and events. “I like his candor,” the actress said Tuesday on the set of the show’s second and final season.

“She will remain in me and I am a better person because of her,” she added in an interview in the kitchen of the home in Saint-Chrysostome, Montérégie, already known to Club Illico subscribers.

Elizabeth, who gave the actress a twin for acting, continues to develop, learn and progress through her quests, the most important being finding allies. “She lost control, she lost her grip, but this season she doesn’t know how to do things, she has so much to deal with.”

This new chapter directed by Guillaume Lonergan that we can discover in 2024 is the one in which Elisabeth takes up organic farming with the help of her brother-in-law Denis (Paul Doucet). This required the family to take on debt to pay for the $4 million in new infrastructure.

The foreign workers are back – some of them in the middle of winter when we start running the greenhouse – and Elisabeth continues to tend butterflies for handsome Francisco (Edison Ruiz). Will there be more connections between them? “There are many dreams,” the actress limited herself to not wanting to reveal anything.

Flashbacks to get to know the family better

The uncomfortable mother-in-law Martha (Micheline Lanctôt) still gives Elisabeth problems, partly because she disapproves of the organic project and especially the flirt with her Mexican colleague. “That does not happen! For reasons of loyalty to her son John and because she has a very limited vision of the boss-employee relationship,” said Micheline Lanctôt. There will continue to be “good times” between the two women.

“I grew up in an orchard, so these are people I know well. Martha isn’t smart, but she has her reasons and we’ll understand them. She’s rough because otherwise she wouldn’t have survived, especially with her rampaging gang. “It’s a united dysfunctional family,” the tireless 76-year-old actress added with a laugh. She also has to shoot in the second season of À coeur for ICI Télé this summer.

The entire Daveluy-Conley family gathered in the same shot: front row, Xavier Chalifoux (William Conley), Anne Beaudry (Maureen Conley), Ellen David (Rachel Conley), Micheline Lanctôt (Martha Conley), Kathleen Stavert (Peggy Conley) and Nicole Leroux (Estelle Conley). Second row: Anthony Lemke (John Conley), Sandrine Bisson (Elisabeth Daveluy), Elijah Patrice (Junior Conley) and Paul Doucet (Denis Conley). MARIO BEAUREGARD/QMI AGENCY

The backtracking helps to better understand the characters. “Elisabeth had no family, only through empathy and love will she accept who Martha is like,” Sandrine Bisson, who will star in comedy Le bonheur’s third season next winter, told VAT.

The Trio Orange team will be shooting in Mexico as we delve deeper into the lives of foreign workers in the intrigues signed by Florence Longpré and Suzie Bouchard. “In the second chapter we felt a little more secure. We felt more comfortable and had more joy,” said Florence.

The problems of food self-sufficiency, the contribution of foreign workers, the impact of climate change, and farmer debt and distress come to the fore as so many powerful and timely issues in this second, less documentary season.

“We talk a lot about how foreign workers are far from their families and helpless when something happens at home. They can also experience things in Quebec that they can’t afford or do at home,” said director Guillaume Lonergan.

“Everyone has their role in a family and it’s not easy to transcend that,” said the Daveluy-Conleys. “Everyone will join Elisabeth and Denis, there is a wind of optimism,” said Florence Longpré.

More Ice Age for Paul Doucet and Elijah Patrice

Several characters take over the strip, including the one played by Paul Doucet. “He’s gaining confidence and asserting himself by working with Elisabeth, who he’s now working with. Denis was very protective of his mother, there is a family secret, a mother secret, a lot of things will come out,” promised the actor, who will also be found on TVA in the second season of “Indefensible” as the crown prosecutor, and hers Tour for the play Verdict with Marie-Thérèse Fortin continues.

As for Elijah Patrice, his junior will be “trying to find himself at the professional level,” and we’ll follow him in his love. “He’s going to have an affair with a deaf woman. Junior is very outgoing, as we will see this season. His dynamic with foreign workers is interesting and we will also look at his bulimia problem,” said the 18-year-old actor, who also stars in The Night Laurier Gaudreault Woke Up, a series directed by Xavier Dolan that is based on Club illico is available.
