Latin American Atlas of Contraception, a unique opportunity for women’s health in the region

The instrument, presented on September 18 in Panama to Latin American governments, experts and business leaders, allows, among other things, the exploration of sustainable financing routes to ensure women’s sexual and reproductive health.

Prepared by the European Parliamentary Forum on Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF) in collaboration with other organizations such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Organization of American States (OAS), Organon, EPF, FOS Feminista, FP2030, Choose Red de Jóvenes, Among other things, the Latin American Atlas of Contraception 2023 was presented for the first time last Monday, September 18th.

Between representatives of local governments, world organizations, as well as speakers and specialists from the medical and economic fields, this document establishes different assessments for countries from three strategic axes: public policy, financing and effective access, which will help countries and policyholders of the region not only over not only has more information and precision in medical care, but also can establish sustainable financing that ensures the continuity, sustainability and effectiveness of these initiatives.
