The 2023 Latin Grammys were as warm as the welcome that the Spanish city of Seville gave to the Latin music industry. There, in the south of Spain, artists, producers, composers and executives met for a week full of activities, parties and of course the handover ceremony of the legendary gramophones on Thursday.

The gala was preceded by the classic red carpet, which looked like a wide, undulating river at the FIBES Conference and Events Palace in Seville. There, celebrities wore some of the most beautiful outfits in the history of the Latin Grammys. However, fashion couldn’t handle the stories of love, heartache and absences. The equals and the unmatched stole the show. That, in addition to Maluma’s girlfriend’s stomach and the miniskirts…

Love on the Latin Grammy Carpet

The couples who wasted their love included Camilo and Evaluna, Nicki Nicole and Peso Pluma, Maluma and Susana Gómez, Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel, Luis Fonsi and Águeda López, Mike Bahía and Greeicy, Carlos Vives and Claudia Elena Vásquez, Ozuna and Taina Among others, Marie Meléndez, Adriel Favela and Estibaliz Badiola, Carin León and Meylin Zúñiga, Jocelyn Trochez and Kany García and Karen Martínez and Juanes.

“This is the first time in my life that I’m walking the red carpet with another person,” Maluma said during an interview on Noche de Estrellas, the Univision network’s carpet show.

“I do it with my wife Susana and my baby.” The Colombian artist announced last month that he was expecting his first child. It’s about a little girl for whom they chose the name Paris.

For their part, Nodal and his girlfriend Cazzu make their first appearance since the birth of their daughter. The Mexican artist touched his fans by making great gestures with the Argentine such as taking care of her dress, repairing it and carrying her wallet.

Another Mexican and Argentine duo were Peso Pluma and Nicki Nicole, who appeared together for the first time since officially confirming their relationship.

The broken hearts were obvious

Not even in her worst nightmares did Shakira think she would return to the Latin Grammys after more than a decade of absence in Spain and as a single woman. Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro made their love official on a similar carpet and this year they paraded separately. The Puerto Rican showed off with his mother. The Spanish woman alone and sexier than ever.

Notable absences

Sebastián Yatra, one of the evening’s presenters, walked the carpet alone despite his rumored romance with Spanish singer-songwriter Aitana. Feid and Karol G also came by alone, although they are supposedly a couple. Others who hit the carpet without their companions included Yandel, Danna Paola, Roselyn Sánchez and Elena Rose.
