Latina Mom Pulls Daughter Out Of Texas School After Being Asked To Play The Seductive Hooker Game

A Texas mother who describes herself as a former “woke” liberal pulled her 13-year-old daughter out of school after finding out she’d been asked to play a “seductive hooker” in a play on her seventh to play. classroom.

Laura Maria Gruber, 45, had sent her daughter to the KIPP Poder Academy in San Antonio. The school’s website claims to celebrate “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”.

But last September, Gruber pulled her teenage daughter out of school after discovering her teacher had been tricking students in her classroom into playing a game called Bear-Hooker-Hunter — a sort of adult version of Rock-Scissors. Paper.

Gruber, who is originally from Puerto Rico, claims that her daughter and other seventh graders in social emotional learning class were teamed up and posed at the head of the class.

The teenagers were then told to either pretend to be a “hunter” or to point an imaginary gun at each other; a “creepy bear” with raised paws, or a “seductive whore” with one hand on one hip and the other behind her ear.

“I was picking up my daughter and her best friend from school and my daughter was like, ‘We played this game at school mom and you’re going to be upset,'” Gruber told Fox News.

“When she told me about kids getting up in class and pretending to be hookers, I almost got in a car accident.”

Upon learning of the bizarre roleplay in the classroom, Gruber pulled her daughter out of the classroom and demanded an apology from the administrators.

Gruber’s argument to the school was that the game sexualized the teens, noting that a girl in the class had been sexually assaulted and was “triggered” by the experience.

Although her own daughter chose not to take part in the game, the boys and girls in the class were told to organize themselves in order of maturity, with some being bribed with candy to play along.

“The teacher was quite young, so you can imagine what kind of people are coming out of the universities now to teach our children,” Gruber said. “My daughter was so disgusted and embarrassed. She said the boys and the teacher laughed.

“Another little girl in the class was sexually abused, so the experience was particularly terrifying for her.”

Six months after Gruber filed the first complaint with school administrators, she received an apology after meeting with KIPP administration in San Antonio and Austin.

Other parents of children in the class were not notified of the classroom antics or Gruber’s complaint until the school board issued an apology for the game.

“I really feel like I was had. I wanted my child to go to this school because of the diversity and I trusted them. But I didn’t realize it would involve sexual diversity and the sexualization of children,” Gruber told the New York Post.

“The worst thing is that this school is downtown and San Antonio is known as a hub for the child sex trade.”

In its apology, KIPP acknowledged that the game did not meet its “excellence criteria” and that it was not suitable for students.

The school denied the game sexualized children, even though the teens had to pose as “seductive hookers.”

Principal Stephanie Lee agreed that the game fell short of the school’s usual standards, but noted that the intent was never to sexualize the contestants.

“While we always strive for excellence as a core value, we sometimes stumble,” Lee wrote in a February letter home to school families.

“This game was not included in any KIPP curriculum and was not appropriate for students,” Lee added.

“While we always strive for excellence as a core value, we sometimes stumble,” Principal Lee wrote in a February letter home to school families

“This game was not included in any KIPP curriculum and was not suitable for students. Any activities involving actions or words like “whore” or “seduce” should never have a place in our schools. While it was never the intention to sexualize a child, I recognize that the effects may have left students feeling uncomfortable or traumatized. This does not honor the respect we aim to instill in our students at all times; in truth it is demeaning.’

“The term ‘hooker’ is an unfriendly word that you should not use or repeat,” the director explained in the letter home.

Gruber said she disagreed with the school’s statement and that waiting six months for a response was unacceptable.

Gruber filed her complaint with the Texas Education Agency, which dropped the investigation because they “focused more on inappropriate teacher-student relationships.”

The Texas Attorney General is also said to have dismissed the case along with the US Department of Education, which also dismissed the case after interviewing Gruber.

Although KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) schools stand for their progressive educational attitude and focus on educating Black, Latino and LGBTQIA children, Gruber believes the incident only serves to make parents more aware of what their children are doing is taught in the classroom.
