Laura Anderson “ended her brief relationship with Gary Lucy after discovering she was pregnant two weeks ago” and “vowed” to raise the child as a single parent.
The former Love Island contestant confirmed her pregnancy in a social media post on Wednesday morning, a fortnight after she called off her romance with the actor amid disagreements over where her unborn baby should be raised.
Lucy, 41, best known as Luke Morgan on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, currently lives in Essex while Scottish reality star Anderson, 33, lives in Glasgow.
And sources claim she is determined to raise the child in her native Scotland, where she is close to immediate family, despite holding crisis talks with Lucy during a recent reunion.
A source told The Sun: “Gary is devastated – he’s absolutely heartbroken. They spent Christmas together and he traveled to Glasgow last weekend in a desperate bid to win her back, they enjoyed a meal and attended their first scan together – but Laura was adamant it was over.

The TV personality insisted they’re keeping a low profile on the physical side of their romance, saying: “We haven’t done anything else, although it probably looks like we did because we’re all over each other, but we’re holding on it PG while we’re on the show.’
She said OK! Magazine at the time: “He makes me feel comfortable and I feel quite adored and protected, which is really nice. He’s a gentleman.
“I really like that he has four kids because his kids are so cute and they’re his world. He sends me videos and pictures of it and I just find it so attractive.”
She added, “He’s a really good kisser too, which is always a good thing!”
The couple met while filming the E4 show Celebs Go Dating and Laura was by Gary’s side when he was involved in an accident involving his car on Boxing Day, narrowly missing a serious injury.

Predicting the future, Paul said, “If there’s a baby,” the soap star replied, “It’ll be little Gary!”.
But it wasn’t long after Anderson went public with their romance that she quickly removed all trace of Lucy from her Instagram profile and the couple split.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “I know I’ve been quiet here and not myself this week or so.
“I’m going through a very difficult time right now, I actually don’t think I’ve ever felt so stressed in my life.
Collecting memorabilia: She also wore a bracelet that had the words “Daddy Bear” and “Baby Bear” written on it.
Joyous: Anderson celebrated the news with her friends, holding a balloon that read, “It’s a boy or a girl” (with only half the words visible).
“As we know, Instagram isn’t real life, but sharing negativity has never been something I enjoy doing. Anyway, my thought of the day for all of us is: never lose yourself or your voice.’
And before the post, she once again shared another, which was about “the quality of attention” rather than the speed of a person’s responses.
