Laurence Leboeuf and Karine Gonthier-Hyndman will star in the new version of the cult comedy Two Women in Gold.

Laurence Leboeuf and Karine Gonthier-Hyndman will star in the new version of the famous erotic comedy Two women in gold, Director: Chloé Robichaud.

This modern reinterpretation of Claude Fournier's 1970 cult film was written by Catherine Léger (Babysitter) and is based on her play of the same name, which has been performing on the stages of La Licorne since last year.

Laurence Leboeuf and Karine Gonthier-Hyndman will reprise the roles played by Louise Turcot and Monique Mercure in the original film. Mani Soleymanlou and Félix Moati will also join the cast.

“Two Women in Gold” features two young women, Violette and Florence, who are bored in their apartment. To break the monotony, they decide to live their sexuality freely.

“The topics addressed by Catherine Léger really speak to me,” emphasized Chloé Robichaud (Sarah Prefers Running, Happy Days) in a press release.

“She’s funny, but just right. Women have the right to be themselves and whatever that means to them. I’m really inspired by the freedom his characters claim.”

Filming for Deux femmes en or begins on January 28th and lasts until mid-April. The film will be released in summer 2025.
