The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Route 117 in Mont-Blanc, a community east of Mont-Tremblant.
“A vehicle lost control and a bystander, the pedestrian, rushed to the aid of the driver involved,” said Sergeant Béatrice Dorsainville, spokeswoman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
“She was struck by another vehicle traveling on Route 117,” she added.
The woman was transported to a hospital center. After fearing for her life, medical authorities said she was now out of danger, the SQ said on Sunday morning.
The other people involved in this incident, including the driver who initially lost control of her vehicle, were not injured but required treatment for nervous shock.
During the investigation, Route 117 was closed from the entrance to the exit to Mont-Blanc.
A headquarters patrol officer specializing in collision investigations went to the scene to analyze the scene.
