Isolation in case of corona infection will only be voluntary from May 1

“The current regulation works, but it’s not necessary in the long term,” Lauterbach said. As of May 1, a procedure “which is largely voluntary” is due to enter into force. The new regulation applies equally to infected people with symptoms and without symptoms. The regulation must be implemented by the federal states.
Immune protection of vaccinated and recovered
For infected medical personnel, the previous quarantine and isolation rules should continue to apply: you can test yourself after five days of isolation. Lauterbach was cautiously optimistic about the current status of the disease. “The turning point appears to have been reached,” he said. “The number of cases is decreasing.” However, the country is still “not in a situation where you can give birth”.
With the easing of quarantine rules, mass staff shortages must also be avoided when the number of infections is high. They are based on a suggestion from the Federal Ministry of Health and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). So far, secretions usually last for ten days and can be terminated with a negative test after seven days. Often, a formal order from the health department is no longer issued.
