The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov ended his Latin American tour in Cuba. He explained that Moscow’s foreign policy will “significantly” increase its attention to Latin America: “If you ask about Russian-American relations, we do not currently have any special activities of our embassies, but also in connection with the fact that the Americans are trying, in particular to abuse their position as a host country of the United Nations.”
Visiting the island, which has been a staunch Moscow ally for decades, Lavrov condemned the economic sanctions imposed on Cuba by the United States. He also said that the Black Sea Agreement on exporting Russian grain and fertilizers is not fully implemented.
