Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov denounced today in the capital that all countries capable of pursuing independent policies are currently under attack from the United States.

“Whoever does not agree will be punished. It is clear that not only Russia will be punished, all the more so because we are resisting. Anyone capable of conducting an independent policy is under attack,” said the senior official at the 30th session of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy of Russia.
In this sense, the head of Moscow diplomacy warned against the so-called Indo-Pacific strategy of the United States, which is aimed at China and through which Washington intends to bring India into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in a solid and reliable way ) and shut it down some of his partners.
He also pointed out that in the spirit of the Monroe Doctrine, the White House wanted to dictate the rules by which Latin America should live. He stressed that the European Union, for its part, was losing signs of independence by “obediently joining the Anglo-Saxon plans to establish the same unipolar world order, sacrificing the quality of life of Europeans, their vital interests, in favor of the United States.”
The question is whether Americans today can really follow the key principle of the United Nations Charter in defense of the sovereign equality of states, he said.
A rule-based order, according to Lavrov, ensures neither democracy nor pluralism, not even within the collective West.
“It’s about the resurgence of tough bloc discipline, the unconditional submission of so-called allies to Washington’s dictates, and not giving much importance to inferior allies,” he said.
In another part of his speech, the foreign minister of that country pointed out that the West has declared a total hybrid war against Russia, which is unpredictable when you know how long it will last, but the consequences will invariably be borne by everyone.
He reflected that, as in 1917 and 1991, the Eurasian nation faces a choice of historical paths. He believes that the consequences of external circumstances bring about changes on a global level, but also in the country.
He explained that the expropriation of foreign assets to which the nation is exposed is an act of state piracy from which no one in the world is currently safe, leading other countries to reduce their dependence on the US dollar and Western markets.
