Quebec filmmaker Denis Villeneuve would have cast French actress Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot in his sequel sand dunesaccording to what the technical side announced on Tuesday afternoon Deadline Hollywood.
American media indicate that the Dying and The Crimes of the Future actress is currently in talks to join the impressive cast that will bring together the main stars of the first film – Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Josh Brolin – as well some newcomers, including Florence Pugh, Christopher Walker and Austin Butler.
Filming for the sequel Dune is slated to begin this fall, in anticipation of an October 2023 release. The first film, released last October, grossed over $400 million at the international box office.
