Despite the intense heat and inconvenience before the start of the game, Alianza Lima gave Sullana the three points after defeating Alianza Atlético 2-0 in the Campeones del 36.
The clash, scheduled for 2pm, was delayed by 20 minutes due to some fans climbing onto the stadium's corrugated iron roof, but fortunately this mishap was rectified to allow the game to go ahead.

After this chance for Alianza Atlético, the team had no major complications and tried to secure the game. The situation became more difficult for Sullana's team after Aldair Perleche was sent off in the 60th minute because of an elbow injury to Ricardo Lagos' chin.

With one more player than his rival, Alianza Lima was able to control the pace of the game and in the 80th minute Sebastián Rodríguez seemed to seal the victory after a great performance with Jhamir D'Arrigo.
The minutes passed, but the result ended in a 2-0 victory for the tight team, a result that allowed them to position themselves as one of the leaders of the Apertura tournament alongside Universitario de Deportes and Sporting Cristal.
