League 1 has officially started and this year 2023 can be enjoyed through different signals; However, this is nothing new in Peruvian football. A few years ago, Movistar and DirecTV were responsible for broadcasting the games on television.
League 1 2023 has officially started. Despite the social conflicts that the country is facing and the television rights dispute between seven clubs and the Peruvian Football Federation, the start of the competition and the channels responsible for broadcasting the commitments were confirmed a few days ago. As is well known, the rooms belong to responsible television stations Movistar TV (GolPerú), DirecTV (Liga 1 Max) and Best Cable.
It’s not the first time, however, that various cable operators have been tasked with bringing Peruvian soccer into every home. Between 2007 and 2011 DirecTV had the broadcasting rights for clubs such as Sporting Cristal and forged alliances with Open Signal companies.
During this period, the company has been able to count on the institutions Deportivo Municipal, Total Clean, Universidad San Martín, Juan Aurich, Inti Gas and Sporting Cristal. Open signal channels that televised some games also included ATV and Frecuencia Latina (now Latina).
The company Cable Mágico (now Movistar TV) was also present at the time. Through his CMD channel, he was responsible for broadcasting the matches of clubs such as Alianza Lima and Universitario.
